Keratosis Pilaris Problem
Keratosis pilaris is a risk-free skin disorder that causes small, acne-like lumps. Although it isn't a disease, keratosis pilaris can be annoying because it's difficult to treat, and it’s an aesthetic problem.
Keratosis pilaris is the outcome from a build-up of protein called keratin in the openings of hair follicles in the skin. This surplus creates small, rough patches, usually on the arms and thighs, but they can appear anywhere. Although it is quite common with young children, keratosis pilaris can happen at any age.
Keratin is a hard protein that safeguards your skin from harmful substances and infection. The keratin forms a horny clog that blocks the hole of the hair follicle. Frequently many plugs form, causing patches of rough, lumpy skin.
Many people are upset by the goose flesh appearance of keratosis pilaris, but it doesn't have long-term health implications and happens in otherwise healthy people. The most important thing to remember is that it is not a disease, just a skin condition.
Keratosis pilaris typically resolves without treatment, before the age of 30 it is completely gone. But if you're worried about the appearance of your skin, your doctor can help you resolve the best course of treatment, which are self-care measures, natural lotions and medicated creams.
Keratosis pilaris usually doesn't hurt or itch. The bumps produce rough patches and give skin a goose flesh or sandpaper look. Naturally, patches are skin colored, but they can, at times, be red, white or even inflamed looking.
Keratosis pilaris can also show on the face, where it very much resembles acne. The small size of the lumps and its association with dry, chapped skin differentiate keratosis pilaris from pustular acne. Nothing like elsewhere on the body, keratosis pilaris on the face may leave small scars.
Why keratin builds up is still unknown. But it may happen in association with genetics or with other skin conditions, such as ichthyosis vulgaris or atopic dermatitis. Keratosis pilaris also happens in otherwise healthy people. Dry skin tends to worsen the condition.
Prescription medications used to treat keratosis pilaris include:
- Ammonium lactate: Obtainable in a cream or lotion, 12 percent ammonium lactate can reduce roughness and softens the keratin plugs. It won't lessen the redness caused by the condition, and it can work as an allergen.
- Urea: Urea moisturizes and softens dry, scaly skin. It also helps loosen and take away the dead skin cells. Side effects include redness, stinging, allergic reactions, scars and skin irritations.
- Topical corticosteroids: These anti-inflammatory treatments help decrease cell turnover by suppressing the immune system. Doctors frequently prescribe corticosteroids for short-term treatment or for temporary relief of symptoms, but it has side effects known to everyone.
- Topical retinoids: Derived from vitamin A, may be an effective treatment, but they can cause troublesome skin irritations, such as harsh dryness, redness and peeling. Tretinoin and tazarotene are examples of topical retinoids. Do not use these treatments without medical advice.
Using a medication constantly may improve the look of your skin. But if you stop, the condition reappears. And even with medical treatment, keratosis pilaris tends to keep on for years.
Although self-help measures do not cure keratosis pilaris, they may help perk the appearance of your skin. You may find these measures beneficial:
- Be gentle when washing your skin. Vigorous scrubbing, exfoliating or removal of the plugs may irritate your skin, so do it just twice a week.
- After bathing, gently pat your skin dry with a towel; do not scrub, so that some moisture stays in the skin.
- Apply BIOSKINCATE™ cream. This lubricating cream will help your skin keep the water molecules inside, use immediately after bathing. This moisturizer works just as contains urea or propylene glycol, chemicals that soften dry, rough skin. The cream has enzymes that dissolves and digests the excess keratin. It is also anti-inflammatory, while it helps to attract water molecules when first applied. It also restores the skin's capacity to hold in water by encouraging collagen production, elastin and glycosaminoglycans from within deeper layers of skin.
- BIOSKINTREATMENT™ should be applied to the affected area twice a day for smooth skin.

Biological Skin Treatment Ingredient
Our products contain a biological serum created by a living creature. It is packed with enzymes, coenzymes, glycoproteins, glycosaminoglycans (hyaluronic acid), proteoglycans, peptides and oligoelements that (a) dissolve keratin plugs that obstruct the hair follicles and cause hiperkeratosis or acne and damaged and dysfunctional tissues, (b) regenerate healthy skin by promoting the proliferation of fibroblasts and supporting microcirculation in capillaries, (c) scavenge oxygen radicals and the damaging effects of excessive solar radiation and (c) keep microbes in check by the action of antimicrobial peptides secreted on the skin and within the hair follicles.
It keeps the skin moisturized, prevents skin infection, repairs wounds, promotes scarless healing, and renews the skin.
The collection of the biological ingredient in our products is done by using a humanely method that inflicts no damage upon the little creatures from which we gather the biological compound that can not possible be replicated in even the most sophisticated laboratory.
Skin Treatment Products
BIOSKINCARE™
A deeply moisturizing and pure natural skin care cream that dissolves keratin plugs and debris and unblocks clogged pores allowing for the outflow of sebum to the surface where it lubricates and protects the skin instead of causing injuries to the cells lining the follicles and an inflammatory reaction of the body to repair the damage. Triggers the rebuilding of damaged and dead tissues and restores the capacity of the skin to hold in water from within. Rrestores the lipid wall of our skin thereby impeding the penetration of allergens and toxins. It induces the production of antimicrobial peptides on the surface of the skin and within the skin follicles contributing to control microrganisms. Signals the body it is being taken care of and does not need to fire its immune responses and overly react to minor injuries thus avoiding the loss of tissues that characterizes deep scars. Avoids scarring and diminishes scars from accidents, surgery, stretch marks, hypertrophic and keloid scars, by the breakdown of abnormal, dysfunctional and damaged tissues into their amino acid components while stimulating their replacement with new healthy skin structures. Vanishes redness and dryness, relieves eczema and dermatitis, reduces psoriasis scales and most skin blemishes. Repairs skin damaged by glycolic peeling and other chemical peels, dermabrasion or laser resurfacing. By strengthening the skin it relieves the uncomfortable side effects of retinoic drugs such as Accutane that thin the skin. Reduces and heals skin fragility and is a potent antioxidant thus helping to reduce the damaging effects on the dermis of sun burns and too much exposure to solar radiation. It also helps to heal blisters, bruises, wounds, and the consequences on the skin of ionizing radiotherapy or radiodermatitis. 50 gram (1.76 oz) jar = $59.98 and for two or more 20% off.
